In the event of a troop pullout, what responsibility, if any, does the United States have to the Iraqi Kurds? As the Kurds have always been the most democratically inclined group in Iraq (with the Kurdish National Assembly being the obvious example) and the strongest supporter of the United States, what steps (again, if any) do you think should be taken to protect them following the escalation of violence that will occur after our withdrawal?askgeorge
